A 50% money-off voucher has been made available for the Fulham v Burnley game on Tuesday, 9 February 2010. This makes the game very cheap at just £15 per ticket.

If this becomes popular it could lead to other clubs doing the same, which would make expensive football games a lot more accessible to the general public.

Claim here 50% off here.

If you are also into betting, you can read up on some football betting tips here. It can really add excitement to the game if you have a few bets on.

When betting on football for profits it is not enough to just think “I think this team will win”. You need to analyse stats to try and back up your guesswork. You need to look at home and away form, results from recent previous games, past games against the same team and current injuries to players. All these things can influence the result of the game on the day. There may be many other factors as well that you just don’t think about. Maybe the weather or how loud the fans are!

When casual bettors make random bets on football, they don’t usually put enough thought into it. At most they think Team A is better than Team B, so Team A will win. If they lose a bet they will often make irrational bets to try and chase their losses. This is not a good way to bet as it can spiral out of control and you don’t gain any profit in the long run.

This is where football/soccer predictions are useful. Sites that offer predictions will do all the leg work for you. They will work out the factors that might effect the game and tell you what the result is likely to be. They might not always be correct, but consistent betting on predictions that are correct a high percentage of the time will give you a profit in the long run.

Football betting is the most popular sport that uses fixed odds. Fixed odds are where the bettor or punter knows the odds of the event or market when they place their bet. This allows them to know the exact winnings they will receive if their bet wins, and is opposed to some other types of betting where the bet money is pooled and the winnings are calculated after. Football Fixed Odds Betting in the UK and Ireland is either quoted in fractional of decimal odds. The former being more popular with the older generation of the country.

In the English Premier League every weekend thousands of fixed odds bets are placed. The most popular is the 1X2 bet, which is betting on either team to win (team 1 or 2), or betting on the draw (X). This is the easiest and most obvious thing to bet on because there are only 3 outcomes and you can take a fair guess at the outcome of the game.

Another popular bet to make is either the scoreline of the game or guessing a player that will score. These get better odds because they are harder to predict. The bookmaker is going to make more money from people who lose this bet, so it will have more to pay out to people who predict correctly!

Clint Dempsey’s late strike salvaged a draw for Fulham to mark Ray Lewington’s first match as caretaker boss with a point against fellow strugglers Wigan.

Carlos Bocanegra had a header cleared off the line and Paul Konchesky hit the bar in a Fulham-dominated first half.

But Wigan slowly got into the game and they took the lead when Marcus Bent controlled on the chest and lashed in.

However, Fulham kept battling and Dempsey denied Wigan a first away win of the season with a low 16-yard drive.

Elliot Omozusi was adjudged to have brought down Alan Smith in the Fulham box and Barton stepped up to coolly slot home his first goal for the club.

The Magpies scarcely deserved their win after a shocking game that was devoid of any creativity or quality.

Habib Beye flashed a header wide for the visitors and David Healy had two close efforts before Barton struck.
