All I can say is Thatcher is a thug, and should of been banned for much longer than he was. There really was a feeling that that “tackle” could of ended Mendez’s career.
Thatcher is pretty much Public enemy number 1 when at Fratton Park now, saying that when he returned after his move to Charlton the taunts and abuse helped him put in a good performance and Charlton nicked a goal they just didnt deserve, sloppy results like that cost us a European place last season.

From what I seen in the footage, is that he was just running and it was not necessarily on purpose. I do not agree at all with other posts here and would have to say when you are running that fast you are not able to stop on a dime, so you are bound to get something like that happening.
Now about the arm thing, that was not right! And proper punishment should occur.
I do not believe this is the first time that type of thing has happened nor will it be the last time it happens.
